Moneyball for
Business Teams
Back in 2002, the Oakland Athletics professional baseball team had to figure out how to compete with the likes of the New York Yankees and their mega-million dollar budgets. They did it by embracing the radical, data-driven ideas of a young economics graduate, and in so doing, turned baseball on its head.
By frugally fielding a competitve team, the Oakland Athletics proved that it is not just about what players you have on your team, but how those players fit together.
Like the Oakland A’s, driven by data, we are all about helping teams perform above their paygrade.

Mission and Vision
Our mission is simple, really:
To unleash the collective potential of people with the power of psychological safety.
Our vision is a world in which everyone has courage to speak up and the confidence to know they’ll be heard.
Our Values
To be our best, we aspire to live by these core values.

We are mission driven
If you're not working and having an impact, you're just working. If ever you feel like your work lacks purpose or meaning, let's figure out how to correct that.

We kaizen
Our minds and by extension, our world, is malleable, one small change at a time. Dramatic improvements can be achieved through discipline and a good process.

We are data driven
We aim to make decisions based on emperical data. The coaching and trainning industry is rife with pseudo-science and we aim to change that.

We nerd out
We take joy in trying to understand things that are complex and ambiguous, such as interpersonal dynamics. We have fun reading, exploring, contemplating, and generally spending a good amount of time between our ears, solving the worlds problems.
Our Story
Zarango’s history begins with our founder, Stephan Wiedner, and his passion for psychological safety.
This is the belief that “one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns, or mistakes.” (Amy C. Edmondson)
Stephan came across so many demotivated, stagnant and under-performing teams in his previous coachingcompany, Noomii.
He recognised that poor psychological safety lay at the heart of these problems. So, figured it was time to do
something about it.

Meet the Zarango Team
We like Wordle. We like boardgames. We like to understand and solve challenging problems. The big problem that we’ve been leaning into, is team dynamics. It’s messy but it sure is fun. And we think we make a pretty good team.
